The Prodigal Kings

Never did want what we could not see
so we search for a tangible, immediate peace
Ever fleeting, ever leaving us in need
ever hungry so we feed. feed. feed.

But we find our way home again
stumble in the front door and bring along the sin
No it don't how long it's been
they just forgive, forget, until we stumble again...
We're the prodigal kings.

We seek and re-up on our prime
most often never to offer thought as to the crime
We beg and we borrow of tommorrow if tonight can be live
and it is... til we belly up on borrowed time

But we find our way home again
stumble in the front door and bring along the sin
No it don't how long it's been
they just forgive, forget, until we stumble again...
We're the prodigal kings.

I've been wrong
That easy friend simply stringing me along
Steady as a corner, comes to crumbling stone
I've got to find my way home

But we find our way home again
stumble in the front door and bring along the sin
No it don't how long it's been
they just forgive, forget, until we stumble again...
We're the prodigal kings.
