Abraham and the Aftermath

I used to own you
until He set us free
but as sight, the mind goes
and today u govern me.

Yes time and time again
we exchange the upper hand and with it our common sense
To know you lay in wait for the tables to turn but yet...
still become the cracking whip and loom above the innocent

I am breathing, I too bear skin
yet still I'm captive, imprisoned by my brethren
Yes were all breathing, we all share him
none will claim him prophet until we are brethren

We are brethren...

I choose to own you
as you have done to me
break the will, but the faith grows
so you rise and you rival me

Yes time and time again
we exchange the upper hand and with it our common sense
To know you lay in wait for the tables to turn but yet...
still become the cracking whip and loom above the innocennt

I am breathing, I too bear skin,
yet still im captive, imprisoned by my brethren
Yes we're all breathing, we all share him
none will claim him prophet until we are brethren

We are brethren...

''The father of all who believe.''
A common root should unite, no not come between
This land is ours brother so we share what runs beneath
His history unites, if we choose to let it be
